Highway 29 is Napa Valley’s principal highway and running parallel to Highway 29 is Silverado Trail. This trail is a favorite among bicyclists from Calistoga to Napa Valley.
Between the two highways, there are numerous lanes providing scenic miles of vineyards and trees. Bicycle rentals are available at The Meritage Resort and bicycle tours may be arranged through our Concierge.
Travel the back roads and visit the small family wineries of both Napa Valley and Sonoma County. We invite you to join a tour and truly get away from it all.

Rising tall like a castle, the Culinary Institute of America is one of the Napa Valley's most historic and majestic properties. It's also one of the world's most unique and inspiring campuses for culinary education.
The magnificent setting for the Culinary Institute of America makes meals prepared by their visiting Chefs a truly memorable experience. The century-old stone building, known as Greystone, has the historic, warm feel of a Spanish castle.
Cooking demonstrations are held Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., with an additional demo on the weekends at 10:30 a.m. They last approximately one hour.
